Data Deletion Instructions

1. What we store

When you use Thread Writer we store your account details (name and email from your sign-in provider), the posts, threads and drafts you create, your schedule settings, and, if you connect a Threads account, your Threads profile details and an encrypted access token that lets us publish on your behalf.

2. Delete everything from inside Thread Writer

1. Sign in at app.threadwriter.com.
2. Open Settings and scroll to the Danger zone.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

This permanently deletes your account, your connected Threads accounts and their stored tokens, your posts, drafts and scheduled threads, and your API keys. It cannot be undone. Posts that were already published to Threads stay on Threads; delete those from the Threads app if you want them removed.

To remove only a Threads connection, open Settings, find the account under Connected accounts and choose Disconnect. Its stored access token is deleted immediately.

3. Remove Thread Writer from your Threads account

1. In the Threads app or on threads.net, open Settings, then Account, then Website permissions.
2. Open Apps and websites, select Thread Writer and choose Remove.
3. If you also want your data deleted, submit the deletion request Meta offers for the app.

When you remove the app or request deletion, Meta notifies us automatically at our data deletion callback (https://app.threadwriter.com/api/auth/threads/data-deletion). We then delete the data we received from Threads for that account and give Meta a confirmation code, which you can use to check the status of your request.

4. Ask us by email

You can also email contact@threadwriter.com from the address on your account with the subject “Data deletion request”. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
